Project of choice 2

This is  my second project of choice , I  decided to create a  small box, my intentions were to give it a lid to put on top and the lid would've had an extra design but that didn't  happen.

This is my final project of choice, I created a small flower pot because my mother has flowers that she grows so I made something that she could put her plants in.

This is my first project of choice, I decided to create a gnome. I didn't have a reason for it I just had nothing in mind so that's what I came up with

surface design project

This is my surface design project I decided to do a small coil pot, I put my initials inside using mishima, and I used all of the other techniques like sprigging, slip trailing, and sgraffito.

Sgraffito in my own words- it a form of art made by laying coats of underglaze and scratching away

sprigging is basically a technique for decorating pottery with low relief shapes made separately from the main body and applied to it before firing.

slip trailing is the application to a clay surface of lines of slip using a fine-pointed dispenser.

impressed texture is a method that you can use to add texture to your artwork when the clay is wet to add more detail. 

Family project

This is my family project, I decided to make two candle holders with both of my parents last name on them. (Galan) & (Maxwell) I used slab method to create both of them.

Large Slab construction

This is my large slab construction it was supposed to be more detailed but I didn't have any idea of what to do so I made another box and glazed it orange .
